Environmental Promise: Hydréa are committed to the protection of the ecosystem where the sponges are harvested as it is in our interest both ethically and commercially to ensure there will be more sponges tomorrow than there are today. We carefully monitor our divers who carry special licences to fish for sponges. All the sponges are inspected by the relevant Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to be certified for export. The divers harvest the sponges individually by cutting the sponge at the base, leaving the ‘roots’ intact and enabling the sponge to re-grow. Sponges also have the ability to regenerate from the smallest fragment so when the sponges are disturbed by the divers moving on the sea bed they release cells and multiply. Areas that are fished from sponges will have a larger sponge population than one that is not. We carefully monitor every stage in the production of natural sponges from the sourcing by our divers to the packaging of the final product. Our sponges under go 42 stages of processing by hand and the final stages are always carried out in our warehouse. This ensures we have complete quality control from beginning to end.

Composition: 100% Unbleached Honeycomb Sea Sponge. Sponge Care: After use rinse well, squeeze gently and allow to air dry naturally. Do not twist or wring. The Sea Sponge will enlarge when wet.

Items of footwear and/or clothing must be unworn and unwashed with the original labels attached. Also, footwear must be tried on indoors. Items of homeware including bedlinen, mattresses, and toppers, and pillows must be unused and in their original unopened packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.
